The Abarth Pocket Rocket

Arun Staley's Abarth 500

For the week of 20th November 2021 we featured Arun Staley’s 271hp Abarth 500!

This car has come on leaps and bounds to have turned into the little pocket rocket it certainly is!

Arun bought the car back in August 2020 as he wanted something quicker than his old Suzuki Ignis and knew how tunable the 1.4T-Jet in the abarths are. "I also just wanted something that has no right being quick, so what better than a fiat 500!"

With regards to modifications, there’s a bucket load! ;

Engine:
- 271Bhp + 375Nm
- TD04L-14T Turbocharger @1.5 Bar
- Airtec front mount intercooler
- 390cc injectors
- Uprated MAP and Boost Sensors
- Forge Motorsport Induction Kit
- Forge Motorsport Silicone intake elbow
- HighSpark Ignition Coils
- NGK Grade 10 Racing spark plugs
- 3" Decat downpipe
- 2.5" Gravituned Power Custom exhaust

Suspension/Aero:
- Bilstein B14 Coilovers
- Project Silver adjustable top mounts
- Track Car Aero adjustable carbon fibre spoiler
- BAF Motorsport K-Brace
- DNA Rear chassis bar

Interior:
- 595 Competizione Sabelt Seats
- Sabelt steering wheel
- OMP Boss Kit
- Stripped out rear

Still running the standard clutch since that's handled the power very well so far!

With regards to future plans, Arun’s going to be fitting a DNA rear anti roll bar, Quaife LSD, a bolt in half cage, fixed buckets seats & harnesses, a custom front splitter and probably a few other little bits!

This car really is a force to be reckoned with and would wipe the floor with many cars on the road without a shadow of a doubt! We can’t wait to see the end product of this car and where it ends up!
